Education

Graduated in the top 4% of my class at Osceola Fundamental High School Summa Cum Laude. I received a 5 on my AP Psychology Exam and AP Literature Exam. Attended the University of Florida for four years and received two Bachelor's degrees--one in Psychology and one in Women's Studies with a focus in Gender and Sexuality Studies and a minor in Film. I had a 3.3 GPA. I am currently attending UCF and working on a Masters in Social Work with a 3.4 GPA.

Experience

I have been a tutor in the past for a number of students ranging from first grade to 12th grade and a little bit in college. I would like to be a tutor to help supplement the cost of my Master's in my free time. I have found that I am particularly good with kids who have low self-esteem related to their struggles in school. I like to utilize a variety of methods to tutor a person on a topic and try to accommodate to their way of learning. Some are experiential, some are visual, some are auditory learners. Whatever works for you, I will try and accommodate. I have education in developmental psychology and as such am able to accommodate just about anyone.

Hobbies

I love learning in general. love film, I was almost a film major. I have a particular interest in art history, history in general--particularly US history, literature, psychology, social work, and politics and government. I happen to be an avid animal lover as well. I have an interest in gender, race and sexuality studies--things like discrimination, oppression and its effects on mental and physical health. I also have an interest in couples/marital counseling and adolescent psychology.
