I have a B.S. in Exceptional Student Education. My background has allowed me to understand how to engage with a diverse range of students. Along with my degree, I have a certificate in Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education, as well as an English endorsement for speakers of other languages (ESOL). My background in education has taught me how important it is to customize my lessons to accommodate an individual student's needs.I frequently make observational notes during my tutoring sessions, so I am able to pinpoint my student's strengths and weaknesses. I then use these notes to help me plan future lessons in such a way that will accommodate my student's needs.I believe that establishing a good rapport with the students is important, as this will make the students feel more comfortable in the session. Furthermore, this will help when motivating and encouraging students to push through their obstacles. A personal goal of mine is to give my students a passion for learning that stays with them throughout the entirety of their schooling.In my free time, I enjoy reading and watching movies, especially musicals. I also enjoy going to the theater and following anything related to pop culture.
