Education
I earned my Associate of Applied Science from Northwest Vista College in San Antonio, Texas in May 2008. Afterwards, I studied for two years at The University of Texas - San Antonio with a major in Community Health.
Experience
I was a College Math Tutor at Northwest Vista College from August 2007 through July 2010. I have successfully completed College Algebra through Calculus III (and Intro. to Statistics), earning an "A" in each course. What many people do not know about me is that mathematics was never my forte. I went into college having to take remedial math classes. Thanks to the superior staff at Northwest Vista College (especially Anna E. Harwin), I was able to master the concepts of mathematics and use those acquired skills to teach my fellow peers by becoming a Math Tutor. It was Anna E. Harwin who recommended me as a Math Tutor to the Tutoring Department. You can imagine the excitement and pressure I felt! Needless to say, math became my favorite subject of all (even more so than English, which was my favorite for years!).
