Experience
I earned my B.S. degree for Secondary Education in Mathematics. I am also working on a master's degree for the same subject, although the curriculum and instruction of the subject are the main focus. I would also like to earn my Gifted Endorsement. I have tutored privately for nearly ten years, and have taught for four. I primarily work with students in grades 6 through 12. Middle school and high school age ranges have a lot to learn that I can help with. I currently work for a private school, teaching Math to the upper grade levels. I teach Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Trigonometry, and Honors courses. I sometimes assist with general Elementary Math and Middle School Math as well.After working as both a teacher and tutor, I understand that each student needs an individual approach to their coursework and study habits. Not everyone learns at the same rate. I do my best to incorporate different methods into my teaching so everyone can benefit.Time does not often allow me to explore my interests, as I am frequently busy teaching, tutoring, and grading papers, but I do enjoy spending time with my family when I can. Once in awhile, I can even manage some scrap-booking.
